Delete your account

You can delete your Tamil Taxi or Tamil Taxi Driver account at any time: in the app, or by email if you no longer have it. Drivers' records are kept for 6 months first, for police enquiries.

How to delete it

  1. In the app

    Tamil Taxi: open Account › Delete account and confirm. If a trip is still going, finish or cancel it first.

    Tamil Taxi Driver: open Account › Help & support › Delete my account and send the ticket.

  2. By email

    If you can't use the app, write to support@tamiltaxi.co.in with the mobile number on your account and which app you use. We may contact you on that number to check that the request is yours before we delete the account.

Deleting an account can't be undone.

What is deleted

  • Your name, mobile number and email are removed from the account.
  • Your saved places and emergency contacts.
  • Your devices and their notification tokens.
  • Drivers: the photos of your documents, your profile photo and your identity-check selfie.

What is kept

  • Drivers: everything on the account is kept for 6 months after the request, for police enquiries, and deleted as above after that.
  • Trip records (date, pickup, drop, route, fare, vehicle), without your name, number or email, for safety, accounting and tax reasons, for as long as we need them for those reasons or the law requires.
